The year is 1984. Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) is a lonely waitress living out a boring existence that does not seem to be going anywhere. Then she finds out that someone is murdering women who have the same - or at least similar - name as herself. The killer is not a human being, but a machine disguised as a human, the Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger), sent back in time from the year 2029 to 1984 to kill the mother of the leader of the human resistance, John Connor - that mother is Sarah. Coming to Sarah’s rescue is Kyle Reese (Michael Biehn), a soldier from the future sent back in time to intercept the Terminator before it can kill Sarah. But is Reese enough to protect Sarah from the Terminator? And what will Reese’s personal feelings for Sarah mean in the big scheme of the timeline?
