Even though Tron came out before I was born, I still learned to appreciate its amazing futuristic feel. Jeff Bridges jumped to the top of my favorite actors list when I watched that movie over 10 years ago. I think that movie actually revolutionized movies more than people think. With Disney backing them up, it almost had a “this could happen” kind of feel to it. Going into another dimension essentially and playing games for the rest of your life. As a young adult you can only dream of such things. With this movie, that dream becomes reality in a way. The sequel is no different. There is a plethora of action but the violence is toned down considerable for our generation. I still felt like that reality could be possible when watching this film. This film is basically the same as the old film just continued. The Graphics are pretty hardcore in this film so if you like “dem graphix” then you will love this film. I just wonder if there will be a future for this series in the coming years. Let’s all hope so.

This is definitely one of those new movies that you really need to go an see in person. You almost must see this in theaters before you go and watch it on the internet. With Hollywood making all the remakes of older movies these days, its really nice to see something that is a completely new idea being thrown out there into movies. One of the downsides to this movie is that it seems a little far fetched at times. I mean seriously…the ability to use 100% of our brain. It seems to me this is more Fi than Sci.This movie will definitely captivate your mind with various thoughts and feelings. IF this movie were actually possible, I think mankind would eventually destroy itself. It doesn’t seem like it would be very smart to put that much power into anyone or anything.

Unlike Limitless, this movie has been done before. Think Independence Day meets the newest Terminator movie. In fact, I would not be surprised if this movie was originally fitted to be a Terminator movie and all of the sudden was changed at the last second. That being said, this movie had a lot of action, a lot of moments where you felt like you were with the soldiers fighting off the aliens, and not any romance at all (my kind of movie). If you enjoyed Aaron Eckhart in Thank You For Smoking then you will absolutely love him in this new movie. He takes charge even though his past is somehow tainted and his reputation is unsavory to say the least. If you want the perfect situation for viewing this movie, then I suggest you go see it in theaters while you can. This movie is def worth seeing in the movie theaters. I would actually almost say you should try an IMAX if you guys have one near you. The point is, that while this movie has a lot of action and a high coolness factor to it, its totally been done before. If you are like me this should come at no surprise to you but at the same time…its still kind of lame. Think of something new guys. Paul…now that was a unique idea…Old school Mork and Mindy style.

Another movie that I got excited about when it came out. I went and saw it in theaters and I have to admit that it was worth the money. If you can, I recommend you see this in theaters if you get a chance before you download it or buy the DVD. That being said, this movie didnt exactly recieve love on the internet from those who reviewed it. With just 30 percent approval rating on RottonTomatoes, I guess you could say that the overwhelming consensus is that the movie was a bust.

I have to admit that when I first heard this was coming out, I was more excited than I have been about most movies this year. It takes place in the future when the world is a totally different place. People have become dependent on machines. Humans are able to live their lives through a robot. While they lay in a chair, their robot (surrogate which is make to their liking) lives their life but fully controlled by the human. To me, it seems like the writers wanted to show everyone what life could be life if we keep spending all our time online. Anyways so surrogates end up getting murdered in the movie but the catch is that their users are dying also. Bruce Willis uses his surrogate for a while and then has to do it all by himself. Dealing with memories of the past, he sets out to conquer his fears and stop a murder. Its not exactly a chick flick but if you enjoyed I, Robot you will certainly enjoy this movie.

This is one of my favorite movies/series of movies. I love this stuff more than anything (minus maybe Mad Max). Riddick, now a hunted man, finds himself in the middle of two opposing forces in a major crusade. Colm Feore plays Lord Marshal, a warrior priest who is the leader of a sect that is waging the tenth and perhaps final crusade 500 years in the future. Judi Dench is Aereon, an ambassador from the Elemental race. She is an ethereal being who helps Riddick unearth his origins.
