The Twilight Saga: Eclipse breaks midnight record!

For all those Twi-Hards out there, I have some amazing news and some not so amazing news for you.  I always start out with the good news because I always wait to gauge how you feel when I slap you in the face with the bad stuff.  The great news for you guys is that The Twilight Saga: Eclipse broke the midnight opening record when it made over $30,000,000 at over 4,000 theaters.  The sad news is that not only did the movie recieve only 51% rating on RottenTomatoes, but it only got a 3.2 on IMDB.  While this may not have affected opening weekend numbers, I have a feeling that this movie will not continue to gross that much money.  I personally have no interest in seeing it although my girlfriend has said that its an amazing movie.  The bad reviews are flowing through in spite of the increasingly high numbers:

• Film School Rejects
• E! Online
• Vancouver Sun

This is just a sample of the reviews that Eclipse has been getting.  Hopefully you can get past the obvious little girl themed romance and enjoy a half decent vampire movie (although I wish there was more action).
