Even though Tron came out before I was born, I still learned to appreciate its amazing futuristic feel.  Jeff Bridges jumped to the top of my favorite actors list when I watched that movie over 10 years ago.  I think that movie actually revolutionized movies more than people think.  With Disney backing them up, it almost had a “this could happen” kind of feel to it.  Going into another dimension essentially and playing games for the rest of your life.  As a young adult you can only dream of such things.  With this movie, that dream becomes reality in a way.  The sequel is no different.  There is a plethora of action but the violence is toned down considerable for our generation.  I still felt like that reality could be possible when watching this film.  This film is basically the same as the old film just continued.  The Graphics are pretty hardcore in this film so if you like “dem graphix” then you will love this film.  I just wonder if there will be a future for this series in the coming years.  Let’s all hope so.

This movie takes place in Siberia in the 1940′s at one of the “world’s most brutal prison system”.  You can probably tell by the title that its a crazy story about getting back to something.  Well I do not want to ruin it for you but ill give you a hint as to the storyline.  Basically a bunch of dudes chillen in a prison get fed up with the way they are being treated.  I am assuming you realize that in Siberia, you do not have to really worry about “security” because…where are you going to go?  Its like 4,000 miles to the nearest civilized area.  Since this is back in the 40′s its not like you can just drive to the nearest airport and hop on a plane haha!  Anyways, they meet some people along the way, go through the typical craziness that is “being lost in the middle of the woods.”

Where can I find this movie?

Unlike Limitless, this movie has been done before.  Think Independence Day meets the newest Terminator movie.  In fact, I would not be surprised if this movie was originally fitted to be a Terminator movie and all of the sudden was changed at the last second.  That being said, this movie had a lot of action, a lot of moments where you felt like you were with the soldiers fighting off the aliens, and not any romance at all (my kind of movie).  If you enjoyed Aaron Eckhart in Thank You For Smoking then you will absolutely love him in this new movie.  He takes charge even though his past is somehow tainted and his reputation is unsavory to say the least.  If you want the perfect situation for viewing this movie, then I suggest you go see it in theaters while you can.  This movie is def worth seeing in the movie theaters.  I would actually almost say you should try an IMAX if you guys have one near you.  The point is, that while this movie has a lot of action and a high coolness factor to it, its totally been done before.  If you are like me this should come at no surprise to you but at the same time…its still kind of lame.  Think of something new guys.  Paul…now that was a unique idea…Old school Mork and Mindy style.

Everyone remembers Yogi Bear from back in the day right?  The 60′s cartoon has been around forever captivating our youth (including me) at times and just setting an overall example as to how everyone should live and the consequences of our actions.  If you were an adult then it was just a funny cartoon that you got to see every week.  It then spawned off into all kinds of TV shows and guest appearances.  The point is that this is a classic story which for the most part remains true to this movie.  Please do not worry either because we all know Boo-Boo is still in it!  I don’t know how you should feel about Justin Timberlake playing the part though.  Maybe you should just close your eyes and take a chance for once.  You might be surprised as to how intrigued you actually are by this movie.

I was really excited when I saw the first trailer for this movie.  I love most of the movies that Matt Damon has starred in.  I was right as usual in that this was a really good movie.  If you have ever wondered about what happens after you die this has got to be the movie for you.  It kind of reminds me of Inception in the camera angles, lighting, and overall acting.  It is very similar to me.  I have a feeling that if you enjoyed the movie Inception then you will love this movie.  The difference between the movies I would say is the plot.  Well other than the obvious reasons (two different story lines) the main difference to me is that Hereafter has three different stories that eventually come together in the end.  Its actually quite beautiful is you ask this critic. All in all this movie is very much worth watching at least once.  It may make you think a little bit, which is no problem for most of you I am sure!  I hope you find this movie as intriguing as I did.  I have added the trailer that enticed me so much to see the movie.  As always, you can find it at the top (as if you didn’t notice it already).

Now many of you fans out there have seen Jackass before (The TV show on MTV back in the day).  Well the boys are back at it again and they have decided to evolve with the times as they have come out with Jackass 3D.  The introduction scene and finale are both saturated with 3D exposure and you will be trying to dodge all of the objects being thrown at you.  This part of the movie is the only part in my opinion that is not real.  For all those who say it is not real…it is REALLY hard to fake most of the stuff they do.  A lot of it is disgusting in my opinion.  I am just not into seeing a lot of penis in my movie.  If you have a weak stomach this movie is really not for you.  I have to admit I almost threw up a couple of times when watching it.

You know how we love our “based on true story” movies here on Fetchblog and I have a really good one for you.  I grew up watching train shows and was everything about trains when I was younger.  Unstoppable is a movie about a runaway train.  While this does not happen as much anymore, this was just as much a freak occurrence as anything else.   It started with a guy on the lowest of low totem poles being lazy and soon became a nationwide scare that could have potentially killed thousands of people.  It really goes to show how important everyone is in a company in order for it to run properly and also how dangerous working in the train industry can be.  There is a lot of responsibility involved with these massive means of transportation.  While this movie is a bit “Hollywood”, I would have to also say its pretty baller!!!  I have already pre-ordered it on DVD because I really enjoyed it that much.  If you still have a chance to see this in theater, you really should!
