So I was looking around the other day and I stumbled across one of the greatest social networking ideas that I have ever seen. Of course if you are like me then you love movies and you hate having to buy them all the time. I have spent more through my cable on demand than I spend on Alcohol. What does that tell you? I am getting ripped off. If you are on the internet ever then I am sure you have seen Hulu.com or whatever and you know that there are sites out there that allow you to watch regular television shows. On MoviesPlanet.com you can also watch movies online without the commercials though. Its a social network in which you can instant message people who are online also. With over 200,000 members you can tell that its still a work in progress and will eventually have the millions that LiveJournal, Xanga, Myspace, Facebook and Orkut users have, but with so much more. Think of it like a cross-breed of YouTube and Facebook. You can get the latest movie news and they also have a great Forum where you can get the opinions of others on movies that you may have not seen yet. I guarentee you that if you start using this site you will never have to watch a bad movie again. I used to use IMDB when I was younger to decide whether or not movies are worth going to see or not, but now I use MoviesPlanet. With over 40,000 movies already uploaded you are almost guarenteed to find the movie you seek. If you find a movie that may not work on your computer because you dont have the proper video software (believe me, we have all been there before), dont fret because they have all the video software you need and you can download it directly from their website. If you dont believe me, at least check out their newest commercial!
